What are your experiences with yoga?  Why do you think it's so popular?  What is yoga?  How does it work?  What do people get out of yoga that keeps them coming back?

My experience with yoga is that it’s a culture that has physical and mental benefits in the therapy. I do stretches but yoga is more of a tranquility of things. It opens a spiritual enlightenment in the form of moves of stretching. It is so popular because the creator of yoga is respected and is sincere about the century year old practices. Yoga is a meditative, breathing, physical exercise to awaken the enter energy of the chakra.

Yoga is portraited as a ritual practice intend to lead beyond the dualities of the outer, temporal world into a state of transcendent union with God (364).

In Hollywood, it was embraced by many screen celebrities. One of the eight practices is jnana yoga focus on a process of self-observation and meditation, seeking to detach themselves from the actions and desires of the ego in order to uncover their true spiritual nature.

What do people get out of yoga, well they come to a practitioner and their treated to a form of meditation to channel their enter mind, body a soul. Then based on what ailment they are having. A form of deep stretching, breathing exercises is done. I am excited about yoga practice.
