“Bodywork” Touching is the basis of all forms of
bodywork. It is the oldest form of healing and an instinctual form of
comforting and soothing form of treatment us and loved one.

need consciously be touch frequently in our lives. Hippocrates, the father of
Western medicine promoted his massage. The most popular form of bodywork.
Instructed his students to be “the physician must be acquainted with many
things, and assuredly with rubbing.”

million Americans get therapeutic massage. There are over one hundred therapies
under the bodywork umbrella.
Eastern Chinese medicine and Ayurveda are the oldest
form of massage health care. In the West Hippocrates and the Greek massage
therapy benefits of “laying on of hands,” a modern day “energy healing.” These
are ancient healing and spiritual texts… including the Vedas of India. The
other essential traditional practitioner are China’s The Yellow
Emperor’s Classic of Medicine, and Egypt’s hieroglyphic, The Third Dynasty.

Have you ever felt healed by touch? Well, I spent 2 weeks in the hospital after surgery. My sister came every day and patted my head with a cold cloth. That time was the most important part of my livelihood. It gave me prayers and comfort. That was what I needed in the recovery room. She talked to me an tells me how bless I was, and the Angles were with me. That was all I needed to know to sooth me.
