The Living Matix: Holistic Medicine

Kip Magee

The Living Matrix Discussion.

1)We hear the discussion of how bioenergy is being present quantum physic of a person body.  The body omits an energy field around the body creating the temporal field. If you take a magnet and watch its ions field it is just as the aura of magnetic field of the body. Science can’t explain this but physic except this molecule structure.

2)The heart in this segment does show energy fields that it cells tells the mind what its thinking and then the body. This system let us know that the heart energy field creates emotion thoughts to the mind, body, and spirit. This is a form of modality of clairsentience state.

What really didn’t resonate with me was that if you’re a cancer patient and you mentally telling the cancer to go away and heal itself. I find that unrealistic or the patient is wearing a cast and potential can loss her leg. But she claims that by mental thing the nervous system operates her leg was saved. Just my prospective.

Tao Mind over Matter

What is your response to this information about our second brain? In my experience this gut feeling is a 6 since. The energy connectivity in the story play and important dialog to what we are actually experiencing and feeling. How is the second brain linked to our emotions?  One cannot just read minds, but resonance the person enter emotion. In the story Kohanov experience “Equus frequency” but it was clairsentience ability What implications does this have for treating emotional and mental issues? The Enteric nervous system as a complex integrative brain in its own right. Makes an awareness directly connected to the body that are normally kept subconscious or unconscious.

Kohanov takes the information about the second brain one step further and says, "I believe that one of the ways the autonomic nervous system interacts with the outside world is through resonance.  Horses, who have much larger and more sensitive guts than humans, arguably have a much larger brain in their bowels - and more resonant surfaces with which to detect nuances of information." What does she mean by resonance? In animals the body plays and important part in the safety of an animal. It senses the things around them, nature other animals the equus frequency of things so to speak. How might the resonance in our second gut help us? We may find safe information in what we feel. If it’s right for us are body tells us so. The 6 senses, the feeling of entity A meeting entity B in what tells how things interacted.

Osteopathy Medicine Holistic Theraphy.

Class Discussion

Osteopathy Medicine

What do you think about the history of osteopathic medicine? 1) I think that when osteopathy theorizes began it was turmoil. The age of osteopathy medicine became cases of disasters. A physician in the field had a hard time in publication of their finding to pass on to follow physician’s. When Andrew Taylor set forth the philosophy and sciences for physician… when Andrew Still tried his hand in the field at the pike of the meningitis epidemic, he lost 4 of his family members by his own doctoring.

How do you feel about the fact that the osteopathic movement was often ridiculed and sidelined by mainstream medicine? In the movement of osteopathic medicine treating a patient I feel that it would’ve taken time to stabilize the actual remedies. But with medical advancement it could be well prescribed. In treating existing conditions or even gene trait condition.

Why do you think this seems to happen sometimes with alternative therapies? In the treatment of alternative medicine were examining eastern society medicine and the treatment of the way their therapy work. Alternative medicine works along with the body theory for the fix if you’re massage and acupuncture remedies. But where looking for long term care resolvent.

Can our society learn to balance a healthy skepticism with an open mind when it comes to learning about alternative therapies?  If your use to the technique and the philosophy of the orients, you’ll get use to the treatment of how the body reacts. How? Because of the centuries of medicine rituals, the alternative treatment people would still use in their therapy today. What are the dangers of being too closed off to alternative ways of thinking about healing?  The condition can come back, and the treatment don’t work to heal the body. What are the dangers of being too open? You can get treated with bad therapy and dangerous diagnosis.  Where do you stand on the spectrum? I’ll tread lightly on the matter, but I do use occasional therapy.

Week 9

Naturopathy

"Given a need to understand naturopathy, students will explain how the person as a whole is treated and healed within this area of holistic health."

At first glance naturopathic medicine seems a lot like osteopathic and functional medicine.  What are the similarities and what are the differences between the three?

Give the naturopathy holistic treatment, Patient is diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease, with an emphasis on treating the whole person. The treatment consists of “Therapies that recognize the body’s innate healing mechanisms and take into account each patient’s individuality.”

Patients with acute and chronic illness can be effectively treated. The World Health Organization called this treatment the “Nature Cure.” N.D. are trained in holistic and nontoxic medical, with the strong emphasis on disease prevention and helping patients achieve optimal wellness. Hippocrates teaches “healing philosophy has been followed by indigenous healers in cultures worldwide for centuries, all of whom employed foods, water, fasting, botanical remedies, and various bodywork methods to bring about healing.” Naturopathy physicians seek to address their cause while helping the body to restore itself to optimal health.

Treatment care is done by primary, nonemergency health care providers.

Physicians and pharmacists are trained in naturopathic methods. Naturopathic colleges have more formal training in clinical nutrition than M.D.’s, osteopathic physicians, D.O.’s or registered dieticians.

"Given a need to know how herbs affect health, students will explain the connection between botanical medicine, herbs, and health."

Over the year of Herbal medicine, it has showed an increase in usage and in revenue. The medical use of Herbs may be used for all types of ailments. Herbs has an Eastern orient foundation and also a western tradition.

“In 1991 approximately 3 percent of U.S. consumers purchased medical herbs. By 1998 it has increased to 37 percent.  The use of Herbs with prescribed drugs scared many patients and should consult their physician if taking unknown herbs.

Medical term for Indigenous people doctors is Sharman. Sharman has trained apprenticeship to select students to carry on the tradition.

For Medical purpose the psychotropic plants in order to perfect their understanding of how and when herbs should be used.

The herbs medicine must be dry out. The indigenous people have relied on herbs and other plants as a primary form of medicine, and the word; Drug, came from the word drogge…meaning “To dry.”

Dr. Morris recommends that people on medication consult with their physician to ensure against possible interaction “Most herbs are very safe, but there are a handful that you need to be cautious with.”

Botanists from other developing Countries have worked directly with Shamans from around the world to catalog ten of thousands of plants.

Between 1983-1994 at least 40 percent of all new drugs were derived from plants products, including antibiotics.

One-third of all new cancer drugs are derived from plants sources. Herbs and herbal remedies are now available in the U.S. retail stores.

“Bodywork” Touching is the basis of all forms of bodywork. It is the oldest form of healing and an instinctual form of comforting and soothing form of treatment us and loved one.

Robert S Ivker,. D.O. “Touch is both an effective form of healing, and perhaps the most powerful and direct means we have for conveying and receiving love.” (Trivieri, 2001, p. 215).

United States is concerned a touch-averse society…We need consciously be touch frequently in our lives. Hippocrates, the father of Western medicine promoted his massage. The most popular form of bodywork. Instructed his students to be “the physician must be acquainted with many things, and assuredly with rubbing.”

Eastern Chinese medicine and Ayurveda are the oldest form of massage health care. In the West Hippocrates and the Greek massage therapy benefits of “laying on of hands,” a modern day “energy healing.” These are ancient healing and spiritual texts… including the Vedas of India. The other essential traditional practitioner are China’s The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Medicine, and Egypt’s hieroglyphic, The Third Dynasty. Plus, Christianity Bible. (Trivieri, 2001, p. 215)

William Harvey (1578-1657) being the first Western physician to discover that blood circulates in the body. The field spread and bodywork practitioner is estimated at approximately 250,000 the single largest form of health care.

As a health benefit many companies recommend using massage therapy as a stress reduction. They use it as a enhancing productivity, and minimize absenteeism.

“In 1997, 27% of the 21.2 billion spent on nonconventional health care went toward visits to massage therapists, accounting for 114 million visits per year.” (Trivieri, 2001, p. 215)

Education is spent regulation states that 3 hundred to thousand hours of instruction. The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), The National Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. And Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals ( ABMP).

Have you ever felt healed by touch? Well, I spent 2 weeks in the hospital after surgery. My sister came every day and patted my head with a cold cloth. That time was the most important part of my livelihood. It gave me prayers and comfort. That was what I needed in the recovery room. She talked to me an tells me how bless I was, and the Angles were with me. That was all I needed to know to sooth me.

Mind body and Spiritual

Discussion 3

Being mentally healthy means that the body and mind can physically achieve a task without distress. Being unbalance may take some internal healing to get the proper metabolic stabilization a person might need. The mind is a muscle, and the body is filled with major tissues. If one part of the body is hurt the mind tells it in pain. If the mind is hurt and needs healing that is a major crisis and that will need medicine to focus on healing. The doctor that deals with specialize medicine is what can treat head trauma. Holistic medicine is making changes in the history of medicine. Doctor’s have prescribed vitamins and amino acid to strive to add medical assistant in therapy of medical patients. Medical assisted patients with Hypnosis in events that it helps over come in patient who will benefit from it. Like cancer patients that feels that  the body can heals itself. When we deal with mind – body and the physical balance the enter healing is a must. “Holistic healing traditions, especially the idea that health and disease are both reflections of the whole person-body, mind, and spirit.” (pg 103).

Holistic Healing Bioenergetic Therapathy.

CLASS

Since we are dividing Chapter 9 into two weeks, let's narrow the focus a little bit for each week.  Next week we will cover Massage and the section on Bioenergetic Healing.  This week, we will cover everything else!

Let's start with the Structural Bodywork section on Rolfing, Hellerwork, Aston-Patterning and Myofascial Release.  Was anyone familiar with any of these techniques?  Has anyone tried any of these?  If so, share with us your experience, if you'd like!  If not, pick one of these techniques and share what you think the pros and cons might be of this technique.

Structural Bodyworks, best know in the category are Rolfing, Hellerwork, Aston-patterning, and Myofascial Release. “These approaches seek to enhance body function by addressing chronic muscular tension and imbalance and improving skeletal alignment.” (Larry TrivierI. Jr pg221). Rolfing development of her own technique was created because of herself having diabetes and arthritis. Teacher other her newly developed style was created in the 50 and 60’s.

Rolfing taught to chiropractors and osteopath medicine in the United States, Canada, and Europe before starting the Rolf Institute in 1972.

Rolfing say’s the weaken imbalance system results in compromised body function. “The aim is to restore the alignment, so head, legs, ankles and feet correspond. The body tends to compensate for areas of imbalances or misalignment in one area through adaptive changes in other areas.”(Larry TrivierI. Jr pg221).

By manipulating the fascia, using their fingers, thumbs, and sometimes elbows. Each session is conducted with the client in his or her underwear with no oil.I like the Rolfing technique and would use it in my daily live for the propose to alignment of the spine and to have the blood circulations come back.

Rolfing, more known as Structural Integration. Developed by Ida Rolf, Ph.D. (1896-1979). “Doctorate of biochemistry and physiology, combined with year of study of other bodywork techniques.” (Larry TrivierI. Jr pg221).
